Goodnight friends! Growing cooler and feeling more damp today, about 16°c and half-way overcast, clear patches of sky and flashes of brightness bringing fleeting warmth ans casting brief fluttering shadows but not able to dry out the soil. An inky, sour funk on the fitful breeze, curling fallen leaves forming shallow basins of last night’s rainwater. Spectacular density of hawthorn berries, a stippled wall of crimson as the leaves fall away. Opportunistic tufts of young green gass pressing through the collapsed, limp sere stems of summer, making the most of the fitful sunlight.
Not much creative drive today, letting things percolate a little, but a nice mix of other activities. A walk and some stretches and a long phone chat with a friend, some household pottering and maintenance. A faint grinding tightness of discomfort, pangs of joint stiffness and icy piercing pain, but fortunately nothing too lasting or severe.

May we find a sense of play, curiousity and experimentation in our lives today!
