Goodnight friends! Still warm but back to 20°c, a little more seasonal. Greyer, shifting skies, a stuffy feeling even when there were too-breief stretches of bright clear air. Mushrooms coming up in stacked clusters among the wilted grass, dark gills oozing onto their tightly-packed neighbours. Muggy, murky grey periods deepened over the day, slowly simmering up to silent hazy drizzle as night fell, accompanied by the harsh chittering squabbles of foxes in the dark.
A day of slight, mixed activities but a modest sense of progress in a few areas, little bits of craft projects and drawing, some food prep, a walk in the churchyard with my girlfriend and her dog. Fairly good sleep, but early waking meant my stamina ran out fairly early, and come evening my thoughts were already heavy, disjointed and foggy.
May we offer each other kindness, encouragement and grace today!
