Goodnight friends! A flat and gloomy pale grey start, with a fairly protracted, very light drizzle lasting through the hours of midday. Once the sky had rained itself out the sky slowly began to clear, bright and fresh and a pleasant 23°c gently sinking towards 13°c after dark. The sun-kissed pale golden grass beginning to sag and collapse under its own fragile weight, a complex yeasty sweetness from the sun-warmed damp ground.
Fortunately despite the changeable weather I slept much better, had higher energy and generally felt in far better spirits after being able to get more mobile and stretch yesterday. First go at swapping to Thursday judo classes, which is far more freeform and peer led with a focus on tachi-waza. My introduction to light randori, which is exciting nerve-wracking and completely changes the context of the throwing techniques we drill.
May we make space and time to listen to each other with compassionate and careful attention today!
