Goodnight friends! Warm and stuffy again, 21°c with brief golden flashes between heavy mounds of bruise-dark cloud, an already familiar pervasive feeling of soggy thickness ro the air, fermenting sourness on the wan breeze. Grey jouncing flags of squirrel tails in and around the trees, scrape and scuffles of busy foraging. Soft explosive whooping of pigeon wings as they’re rousted from perches. Scrimshawed leaves carved through with ascemic flourishes by leafminers, stippled flashes of purple as tall spikes of toadflax makes a late resurgence.
Slept poorly with my joints feeling sandpaper raw, took a long time to feel half-way awake. Quite a bit of sedate exploratory drawing and visual research, a nice way to let my body mostly resting while getting some use out of a slightly hazy brain, making half-false and thin connections I can twist and draw together later into unexpected melange. Tried to keep the whole day slow and relaxed, letting myself recover.
May we find mutual support and encouragement today!
