Goodnight friends! Warm, around 21°c, mostly greyish and damp. Humidity building without the concrete relief or climax of heavy rain or storm, just a continuing slow squeezing crescendo, wan light occasionally piercing through a slivered blue gap between grey cloud. Orange backs of carder bees busy among the crane’s-bills and buddlejas, geometric mottling of pale gold and umber outlining leaf veins, pink twists and curls of fallen sycamore-maple leaves.

Energy definitely somewhat improved, everything still really slow, and general pervasive pain radiating from my joints, but thinking feels clearer – at least for brief periods – and I have a bit more confidence moving short distances. Still resting fairly strictly, reducing activity to a sensible minimum and trying to keep myself gently occupied.

May we find time and space to compassionately reflect on and learn from our past failures and successes today!
