Goodnight friends! Cooler, around 12°c, but mostly brighter, a few overcast periods early on but mostly clouds drifting by in carp scale patterns and fine white hatch-marks. Garden flowers bursting into life, layered, globular peonies and extravagant rhubarb-red spikes of neon pink elephant ear flowers, the first tightly packed cones of honey scented buddlejas. Sparse but vibrant green canopies beginning to dapple sunlit paths and drifts of swaying bluebells.
I think I slept longer but more fitfully, and the hangover of pulsing, burning pain in my joints hasn’t yet receded. Several periods of fugue-like paralysis scattered through the day, my nerves feeling stretched taut and energy draining away rapidly. Some much more energetic periods too though, did some drawing and took a shirt walk with my girlfriend, hopefully on an upward swing.
May we find rest and healing today!
