Goodnight friends! Clattering gravel fall of rain for most of the day, greasy grey shadowless light that dropped even murkier to twilight dimness as clouds darkened and the storm picked up. Buffeting winds whipped at treetops, turning falling rain to cruel diagonal slivers, sending leaves and twigs in wild flat careening spirals, so high at times that it plucked at the overflowing gutters, water rising back upward like gouts of silver steam.
Resting up and recovering today, especially since tomorrow my girlfriend and I will be going on a group outing to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The rain and chill sapped my energy further, though fortunately no deep aches or particular soreness from the more technical stuff I’m currently doing at judo. A little drawing, a brief walk while the wind ebbed, and otherwise trying to build my batteries as much as possible.
May we find moments of delight, surprise and shared laughter today!
