Goodnight friends! Grey, clammy skies rolled back swiftly overnight, and today was dour and wet and stuffy, a filmy sensation of saturated air mounting hour by hour. A cool exhalation of released tension in the afternoon as thereatened rain began to fall at last, pavements drenched dark and puddles shivering with the impacts of thin drizzle. Bitter loamy smell of fungal decay on the damp, fitful breeze, pleated caps of tiny mushrooms unfurling into wide flat umbrellas.
Joints aching more again, fortunately sleep not too bad, but some of today’s energy was dissipated into holding myself together hour by hour, less productive and more prone to hazy moments of dull absence. A nice relaxed dinner date evening with my girlfriend, at least, and we made a lot from our supplies, a lot of leftover portions packed into the freezer.
May we grant each other grace and compassion today!
