Goodnight friends. September began with a beautifully golden summery day, 20°c, mild and very clear. Only the mildest scent of leaf mould beneath the straw sweetness of sun warmed wild grasses. Orange strobe of a hummingbird hawkmoth drifting among the flowers, absurd bent black wire of a proboscis as long as its sleek-furred brown torpedo body. A few desultory rasping squirts from the last few grasshoppers in the dry grass. Slowly clouding over in late afternoon, building to a little silent overnight drizzle.

Feeling stronger and more together, slept more soundly partly thanks to less humidity and fresher, more open weather. Felt more mobile and capable too, able to take on bigger slices of activity. Some drawing, a longer walk, more headway on household tasks, and went through my full mobility routine for the first time in a little while.

May we learn from and teach each other with open minds and hearts today!
