Goodnight friends! Mottled iron grey and overcast skies, fitful sighs of damp wind and muttering, rattling drizzle. Never quite decisive enough to rain hard, and much warmer than the past few days, a muggy 18°c with the air heavy with the apple-tart fermenting greenness of wet grass. First firey opening buds of fox-and-cubs, prickly sow-thistle shooting up with dark, stiff leaves.

Sore and exhausted today, resting a lot, a rough combination of weather and exercise brought bad, broken sleep and a very sore morning. Felt stiff and groggy the whole day, rallied a little in the sfternoon but still felt like a bit of a burden on my girlfriend when she came over for dinner.

May we share in kindness and companionship today!
