Goodnight friends! Warmer and humid, gradually ticking up to 26°c as the air thickened. Sky split between a towering concrete wall of looming clouds and sun-washed pale blue, so that I had the wonderful eerie sight of bright gold-flecked emerald trees against a backdrop of murky iron grey. I was out walking as a brief, fierce storm squall erupted around half past 3PM, lasting for only about 20 minutes. Scent of the earth swelling to a deep, sour cocoa pungency, droplets rapidly escalating from peppering to pelting down, thudding and runneling down windowpanes. Brief flashbulb white flares and slow phlegmy growls of far-off thunder.
Didn’t sleep too well, joints protesting as the pressure dropped, and half-dozed through most of a dazed morning. A bit of writing and drawing after my rain-dodging walk, then another worldbuilding session with the TTRPG group, no dice rolling since a member had to stay home with a cold. Maybe not 100% recovered from last weekend since the rest of the evening passed in hazy exhaustion.
May we find a sense of flexibility, openness smd acceptance in our lives today!
