Goodnight friends! A pale greyish start, brightening for brief odd moments through the afternoon with a clammy breeze tearing open small ragged-edged patches of blue, visible between banks of cloud. Broad satellite-dish leaves of garlic mustard unfolding, solar glow of dandelions despite the dull sky. Wild whoop and chatter of birdsong. Heavy, sticky feeling to the air though, a foreboding that came true with as a brief peachy glow of evening was smothered by dense hissing drizzle.
Feeling the change in pressure, needed a few long breaks to regain my equilibrium. Not hard to manage at first, but by late afternoon a swollen feeling of pain arced through my body, joints grating and tender, especially as the day went on and the sky grew more bloated. Things did eventually out a bit as the rain settled in and petered out, fortunately.
