Goodnight friends! Thermometer seeming stuck at a steady 26°c still, a little too warm for comfort especially with the way pillowy cumulus towers sweep across the sky, enough for a glum, overcast feeling of pressure and humidity but not quite enough to keep broad splashes of syrupy golden sunlight from heating pavements and wilting leaves like their edges were caressed by candleflames. A broad-winged bird of prey high above, possibly a buzzard, was harried along by a pair of gulls, silvery white and deep sepia brown against the dazzling blue.

A lot of pain and very heavy fatigue today, pain coursing through me like threads of molten lead tracing the surfaces of my bones. Possibly a relapse from going out on the weekend, or an effect of the shifting cloudy skies, or both, or some other indecipherable reaction. A mystery there’s not much use in trying to solve, so I tried to just keep resting and keeping any activity low and slow and careful.

May we work to communicate with open-hearted compassion and kindness today!
