Goodnight friends! Rain through the evening and overnight, a patchily overcast morning and a humid, saturated feeling hanging in the air. As noon approached though clouds began to split and brighten, flashes of blazing, dew-glinting bright green swept across lawns. The sun broke through hour by hour until flashes became long slow pulses of golden light, sodden dandelion clocks began to puff back out and send their slow processions of drifting silvery motes out over the grass and onto the rushing slipstreams of the concrete world. Dainty bright pink samaras of ornamental maples begin to grow, hair-thin tips of barren brome seeds start to turn purple and split.

Mostly resting up today, very hard to sleep with pain swelling in my joints, and once I gradually attained and even keel I still found myself crashing easily from the dragging weight of yesterday’s anniversary outing. Aiming to relax and be patient, accept the ups and downs and find things to capture my attention without taking my brain too much.

May we recognise and appreciate the journeys, our mentors and communities, our supportive peers and our past selves went through to bring us to today!
