Goodnight friends! Brighter and warmer, a brisk and scratchy wind summoning and sweeping rolling, roiling bouldery bands of cumulus. Blackbirds rummage through grey leaves as robins peep insistently in the bushes. Lesser celandine, closed tight in the face of yesterday’s rainy gusts, are lavishly iridescent yellow starbusts again, and photinia made translucent by the blazing afternoon flicker like orange fire.
Definitely feeling just about recovered and much more energised and interested, far more clear-headed than average. Most of the day’s energy was spent on some food prep and household tasks – I made a simple Palestinian-style stew with roast squash, za’atar and maftoul and swapped clothes around in the wardrobe to feel a bit nore organised for spring. I even got to feed some stew to my girlfriend who stopped over on the way home from a trip. Being able to feed someone is always a wonderful feeling.
May we find ourselves alive to the wonder and delight in everyday moments today!
