Goodnight friends! Warm and stuffy, around 27°c and partially overcast, a softly smothering heat. Broad swathes of sweet white clover in the grass. Silvery mist of spiderwebs draped over spiny gorse bushes, thick-shouldered emperor dragonflies patrolling overhead with long wings sculling and twisting. First pale pink willowherbs opening up, the much deeper rosebay willowherb probably coming before too long. Solstice evening, a very long, hushed aqueous bluegreen slide into night.
I knew the TTRPG session wouldn’t be on, but I still felt a little non-plussed and floating at a loose end today, even besides the slight haziness of missed sleep. My girlfriend took me out on a walk to the park, where we had at least a short respite beneath the trees, everything cooler and more pleasant in the green-dappled shade. Her dog, covered in seeds thanks to charging through the tall grass, sluiced herself off in a stream.
May we work to build honest, open and compassionate relationships today!
