Goodnight friends! A clear, bright and balmy-feeling 21°c, the change in the air and expansive blue sky lending a completely different sense to the day. The suspended dreamy kind of afternoon overflowing with slow golden light that feels like it could just as easily roll backward into summer as onward toward autumn. Luminous silky petals of late ornamental roses, long ochre shadows, glittering flies pinwheeling around hawksbits.
Slept much better, a little evening sleepover with my girlfriend to get some extra time together before she goes on a cruise holiday next week. I need a break from big trips for a while, feels ike I’m dragging slightly, a slightly hollowed, squeezed sensation lingering on from so many activities over the summer. More energetic today thanks to the rest and the dry day, able to get quite a bit done. A longer walk, some household admin and a little drawing too.
May we find clarity, growth and self-reflection today!

Photo of a bundle of fallen sycamore-maple samaras, their paired brown wings translucent with bright sunlight, clearly showing their close likeness to insect wings with dense networks of stiffening veins.
