Goodnight friends! A warm but much more reasonable 24°c, with some dense but fleeting cloud cover, flaahes of goldem light casting long sleepy indigo shadows. Less breezy interludes, so a mounting feeling of sticky humidity in the afternoon and evening. More leaves falling, especially sycamore-maple with their startlingly candy-pink undersides. Wasp-striped ruby eyed hoverflies lick the faint sweat of sap from encrusting masses of ivy.

A nice low-key visit from a friend, we did a tiny bit of foraging for fruits, had lunch and caught up on the month’s happenings. I needed a few hours of rest after they left, managed a little drawing later in the evening.

May we find warmth and community in our lives today!
