Goodnight friends! Probably the hottest day of the year so far by a comfortable margin, 33°c through the long swathe of afternoon and evening. A solid, breathless prickly presence to the heat with every step I took, like pushing through freshly laundered and dried towels. Shadows deep and dark but no refuge from the heat, and little even from the sizzling buzz of sunlight on my skin. First firey orange hints of fox-and-cubs flowers, though the fresh petals already look a little dessicated. Birds were hushed, squirrels barks thin and plaintive.
Sleep a little better, but tricky with the non-stop pulse of heat. A growing feeling of tension and pressure over the day, so perhaps a storm will arrive soon to pop the bubble. Faiy sedated and careful pace, stretches on the grass, a little writing and drawing for multiple projects.
May we find learning, change and growth today!
