Goodnight friends! Around 18°c at first, soft pale sky at first with long drifting headlands of pale grey cumukus. Rising to 22° as the sky opened up, a deep, clear steely azure, clouds sunk down to the horizon beneath the cool and brilliant sun. Papery dry stiff grasses and withered ox-eye heads hissing softly in every breath, holly berries and wild apples reddening, haws already flushed to a stark gory crimson. Cool mineral taste of rain on even warm still afternoons now, rain coming soon I think.
A rest day mostly, as little activity and as much patient stillness as I can manage, the regular heavy post-activity malaise and thin, deep slivers of ache in my joints. A little desultory drawing from time to time, keeping my fragile attention ticking over as long as it can.
May we find a sense of play, curiousity and experiment in our lives today!
