Goodnight friends! A murky pale grey start with hazy curtains of dense, light drizzle. Brightness swelled over the morning, thin rain dispersing and the sky already beginning to clear by 11 am. A new wave of growth and fecundity seems to have been nurtured by the wet, overcast days. Scattering of tiny mushrooms on the meandering trails through towering grass, green horse-chestnuts, spikes still soft and curled, swelling on their twigs. Vivid, pinstriped pink common mallow blooms in gardens, yellow wall lettuce flowers struggling up through tiny pavement cracks, seeming to float on thread-thin stems.

Sleep a bit better and stamina much easier to manage overall, several periods of steady activity with long rests between Getting some packing out of the way today – on Wednesday my girlfriend is taking me away on a seaside break for my birthday, which luckily coincides with some fossil events too. We can be far less active and have more of an actual break compared to the logitsics-heavy, volunteering and activity focus of our camping event.

May we find renewed passion and inspiration in our lives today!
