Goodnight friends! A little cooler and mostly much dourer grey weather, a steady 27°c that mostly felt quite muggy, with some afternoon flashes of clear, sunlit heat that dropped sudden searing weight on the back of my neck and lit up linden canopies like sheets of green flame, a few golden leaves glowing among the wash of emerald. A few little splashes of purple knapweed and yellow meadowsweet among the dry and crumbly grass. Green-veined whites and pale lilac holly blues still paying court around syrup-scented buddlejas, glass chip sparkle of greenhousle flies licking the faint sweet sweat of sycamore-maple leaves.
Stuttering towards a slightly better sleep schedule, waking earlier so my current slow starts still leave me feeling like I have a little more time in the day. Swollen-feeling aches from the humidity were tricky to deal with and sapped my energy, but I still managed a scattering of various activities over the day, I wrote, walked, stretched a little, did some household admin. None of it felt like much, but a few days of doing this have helped me make gradually stable progress in a bunch of areas.
May we find a sense of self-acceptance and self-compassion in our lives today!
