Goodnight friends! Much cooler and only very passingly bright, mostly today was a flat, even grey with a wan soft-edged candle of a sun. Still a pleasure and a novelty to see it so high though, and see the slow gradient shades of evening as the clouds broke up, from slate blue to ochre to peach to lavender and violet. The first meadow foxtails breaking out of their near green leafy envelopes, and the faint haunting sickly sweetness of a few hawthorn buds unfurling. A few harsh battering blusters of wind and a short rainsquall in the afternoon, brief and dramatic interludes in a generally still and quiet day.
Slow mode continues, trying to keep movement to a healthy and reasonable minimum. Drained quickly by activity and feeling a venomous, oozing malaise and pain seem to pool in my neck and seep out into my joints – especially as afternoon weather became more changeable. I think my baseline is a little improved though, hard to tell since it’s still pretty easy to wobble out of baseline territory.
May we find growth and healing today!
