Goodnight friends! Another 13°c day, and different again from the last two. Pale, damp and with wan colourless greyish skies punctuated by several long silent showers, everything sedated and heavy. Hardly enough light to cast a faint shadow, let alone make a buttercup gleam. Pinstriped white bryony flowers and fluttering Welsh poppies looking dull and defeated, spiders tucking themselves under leaves and into crevices.
Not giving myself a thorough-enough break earlier this week compounded today by intense feverish pain radiating from my core into my knees and elbows and hips. Hardly any sleep, a feeling of fugueish grogginess laying heavy on me all day. Drifting, struggling to keep my thoughts clear, letting myself sink into weariness a little to hopefully grant myself as much space to stabilise and recover as possible, painkillers and an early night tonight.

May we find peace and recovery today!
