Goodnight friends! A little cooler at last, fairly steady 27°c, the ebb of this smouldering week setting in. More substantial cloud cover and a soft, cool breeze undulating through brittle golden grass. White angular trumpets of lemon balm in shaded corners, meadow bindweed clambering among the tall, drooping silver heads of oatgrass. Windows open now for a welcome breath of night air. Shrill, frantic yowling of foxes somewhere out on the dark amber-lit streets.
A slow, dizzy start again, sleep schedule fairly well twisted up, hard to sleep easily in the 22°c heat. Fortunately dropping down to 18°c now, much more manageable. Took a longer walk again now the sun isn’t beating down so hard and went through my stretches on the grass, darting spiders and wandering caravans of ants keeping me company. Some little bits of writing and ideation, but generally hard to fight off fatigue and woozinwss for too long at a stretch.
May we find a sense of agency and passionate purpose in our lives today!
