Goodnight friends! Clearer skies today, and the first real feeling of that gilded, glass-sharp heatless autumn sunlight, crisp cold shadows rippling on pathways scaled in whispering brown leaves. Gulls wheel and joust and scream above the water, gleaming like polished steel.
Felt active and somewhat revived in the morning despite some aching muscles, but was hit hard by the cold as temperatures dropped into the mid-single digits in the evening. An unexpected surge of piercing feverish pain in my joints left me a little delerious for a while as full dark set in, little wavering starbursts in my vision.
