Goodnight friends! Woken by the tentative tap-tap of slow, light rain, diffused through the canopy of the oak tree our tent is pitched beneath. It didn’t last long, but morning light remained dim and smoky amber, the sky marbled in dozens of swirling shades of grey. Around 18°c, slightly colder feeling with gusts of full, wet wind. By 2 pm though the breeze dried out, scooping clouds away, leaving only a loose white dappling and a narrow sliver pared off the near-full white moon in the pale blue, swelling to 23°c.
Sank more fully into the camp atmosphere, being way more active and social than I would be at home, and certainly for longer periods. Tried out archery, petted horses, did a judo demo. Starting to feel myself running a bit thin, lingering cognitive absences and electric spikes of pain. Burning through longer term reserves of energy – fortunately with a level of acceptance, along with some plans and experience about the consequences.
May we listen and learn with patience, curiosity and humility today!
