Goodnight friends! Persistently dim and sourly chilly weather, chevron flights of geese returning, wings sailcloth rattling as they descend, under a crumpled grey sky. New fronds, new little gemstone sparks of flower and bud, bring colour and life, the warm, pungent spring onion scent of ramsons in cold air.

Recovery from any kind of exertion is a hesitant grinding affair for the time being – exacerbated by continuing vague damp I’m sure – cramping aftershocks of aching fatigue following me for most of the day. Today though it’s been fairly uncomplicated to get mobile for short stretches when I need to be, so definitely far from the worst kind of day.

May we treat ourselves and each other with kindness and compassion today!
