Goodnight friends! A few even, faintly overcast patches early in the day, but overall very vivid bright blue skies, clouds scoured by a welcome cool breeze into ragged lace veils. Warm in the morning and gradually heating up further, up to 25°c later in the day and only slowly cooling after dark. New bursts of flowers, soapwort and firey orange-scarlet montbretia, branches begin to bend slightly with hard wild pears, still green cherry-plums and the first dark, but still puckeringly sour blackberries.
My girlfriend took me to pick up my glasses today. I had planned to do more TTRPG writing in the afternoon and evening afterward, but even a really brief trip into town left me feeling much more worn out than I expected, and I just watched cartoons in a dazed for a while. The glasses do give an unreal, crystalline quality to things like farther off tree branches, its incredible to have right in front of me such a perfect example of how the mind compensates for a gradually changing ‘new normal.’
