Goodnight friends! Woke to a heavy snare rattle of storm-driven droplets and a few barks of thunder, brief fingers of pale white light flickering under the curtains. Slackening towards drizzle from time to time, but still more than 8 solid hours of dreary rain. The sky was fairly well cleared afterward, clouds mostly thin tattered sheets or unravelling tideline ripples of cirrus. An even, stuffy 20°c, everything dripping and beaded, faintly glittering. Earth dank and slippery, dips and divots in the pale stubble of shorn grass collapsing into mud-pits.
Lingering, grinding joint pain all day, but malaise at least mostly managable. Judo was a little intense for my fatigued and rain-sore joints, but reassuring – drilling through the slightly different syllabus of the belt test for the club’s new awarding organisation.
May we find a sense of determination and purpose today!
