Goodnight friends! Warming up again, with fairly muted overcast skies clearing smoothly into broad hazy scales of dissolving cirrus over the day and the heat of the afternoon rising to a clear, sun-drenched 24°c. Knapweed and daisies wither and faded their brightness reducing by degrees to a sere grey tinted with memories of gold and purple. Bees flurry around snowberries, dangling chains of white bryony berries grow bright and plump then wrinkled as the heat swells harsh again.
Pain not so intense fortunately with lower humidity, but unsurprisingly my energy was at a very low ebb. Mainly sitting up in bed, struggling to keep my focus on much of anything for more than a few minutes. My girlfriend helped me get out of the house for a short walk in the afternoon with her and her dog, but otherwise I was just keeping still and hoping to recover.
May we find joy and surprise by reopening our senses to the familiar experiences our lives today!
