Goodnight friends! Starting to cool down, if just a little for now, highs of 31°c and at last down below 20°c in the depths of night. Already before 10AM air was breathless with swelling heat, perfumed by the heady, meady scent of ragworts — glad I got out for a walk then, before the full slow baking warmth of afternoon set in.
Better sleep, and the achey, cold-like reaction I was having, whether malaise or part of a heat stress reaction or whatever other wrinkle it was feels like it’s clearing up nicely today, pain in my joints loosening up and the raw feeling in my throat fading. A friend came over for lunch and a catch-up, wore myself a bit chatting but felt good, rested mostly tranquil and easy the rest of the day.
May we find moments of joy, novelty and excitment in our lives today!
