Goodnight friends! Rather than a walk, the main activity of the day was an eye test, maybe my first as an adult. My visual acuity at distance has been gradually worsening over the past few years, and with my girlfriend’s help I finally overcame my inertia and we took a joint trip to the optician. My mild nearsightedness was confirmed, and I’ll have my first pair of glasses sometime next week.
Humid and sticky, with nore generous cloud cover occasionally streaked with grey. At least the temperature returned to a much more sensible 20°c or so, as hot at midday as we’ve had to cope with overnight recently. Felt fairly exhausted after the excursion, and rested most of the rest of the day.
May we listen to each other with care, compassion and attention today!
