Goodnight friends! Around 18°c, fairly steady, but the feeling of the air varied significantly over the day, sometimes close and opressively heavy, sometimes fresh and sweet. Some patchy drizzle, but nothing so dense or prolonged as earlier this week. Extravagant rhododendrons fading, flowers withering and crumpling into spent handkerchief rags. Meadow peas in the grass and orange-blazing patches of fox-and-cubs, and spinsly wall-lettuce, along with cat-ears and beaked hawksbeard and all the other gangling bright yellow dandelion-likes.

Generally more coherent and with better stamina, though the combination of damp, changeable weather and slow recovery leaves me with a painful grinding pressure in my joints that breaks chains of thought and saps my limited energy. A short walk, and chatting on the phone for a while with a friend, talking and drawing for an hour or so. A big energy commitment, but rested feeling pretty fulfilled the rest of the day.

May we listen and learn with open-hearted care and patience today!
