Goodnight friends! 29°c today, and potential highs up to 34°c forecast for tomorrow. Dainty lace clouds of pignut umbels floating above the polished golden buttercups and blue speedwells, a wan silver half moon in an empty pale sky. Light green in the branches, captured in incandescent green slivers among dense hip-high grass. Rapid, buoyant flutter of butterflies and wary squealing barks of squirrels staking their claims.
For me pretty good weather for rest and recovery, I usually find dry heat fairly easy to tolerate. My girlfriend stayed over and unpacked our art haul for us to admire. She went home after lunch and I took a gentle walk, a few stretches in the shade of the trees to keep myself from seizing up while I recuperate.
