Goodnight friends! Warming up still, 22°c in the balmy early.afternoon once the patchy sky cleared up. Early charcoal streaks among roving clouds, but gradually they thinned and simmered away, ushered by a bustling grass-sweet wind and heavy tactile sunlight. Vivid scarlet and black leafhoppers in the grass and an elegant mahogany-red damselfly, slender bamboo stem body floating like a magic trick. Sharp clarion song from a blackbird in the turret-top of a lawson’s cypress. Tissue-thin poppy petals already ragged and fading at the edges.
Sleep less rocky but still disturbed by aches, and a little recovery still needed, but generally doing much better. A walk before lunch then able to rest up most of the rest of the day, chatting on the phone with a friend and picking away at some drawing and writing projects, starting to build ideas for the next few TTRPG sessions. A relief to be able to chat and mindmap in depth with someone outside the friend group who make up the player party, since I can work out some of the twists and turns I want to put them through.
