Goodnight friends! Woke to the soft arhythmic pops and taps of soft rain on the window, knees and elbows throbbing angrily. Showers continued on and off for a few hours, the air a faintly chill 10°c or so, gradually warming as clouds dispersed. Long wild grass in lush waves, sparkling in fitful sunlight, doubly gold where rays passed beneath the gold-dripping arches of laburnum branches. Raindrops gleaming like mercury on the platter leaves of snowberries, alien-looking flowers of saxifrages beginning to reach up on long thin tendril stems.
After the wet morning, the relief from pain felt like a spring being released, and I was paradoxically busy and productive – maybe a little recklessly so. More TTRPG arts and crafts, making tokens and clocks, as well as some household work. Another slow crumpling collapse of energy over the afternoon and evening, limbs and face aching a little with fatigue.
May we find renewed passion and inspiration today!
