Goodnight friends! Slow-baked feeling of a sunny day that didn’t just begin to heat up, but started off warm and slowly simmered. Owlish slow chatter of collared doves. Grass fragrant and lush, sweet-sour and rising up past my knees. Bloom of hawthorn flowers spreading, too tightly packed to easily discern edges of each blossom now, glowing like a blanket of snow and with a foetid, overpowering corpse sweetness at close quarters. Semi-illusory grey streak of a little mouse darting into a burrow, the rangy tarnished brass flank of a fox holding what looked like a chicken wing in its jaws as it slid under a fence.

Generally fairly low pain, but high levels of groggy fatigue that built swiftly over the day. Managed a short, gentle walk and a few stretxhes outside in the balmy afternoon before things started to get too heavy. A concerning feeling of rawness in my throat that started as a tickle yesterday afternoon gradually escalated today, and a sniffle came on in the evening too. Frustrating, since I had a few hopeful plans this weekend, but hopefully at least some of them can migrate online.

May we find and share welcome, gentleness and kindness today!
