Goodnight friends! About as warm as yesterday, around 12°c, but still air making it feel much milder. Couds slow and scattered, the blazing sun now seeming much more constant so high above the branches that caged it just a month ago. Ferocious purple eyes of a peacock butterfly splaying its wings toward the sun, a slight sweet scent of nectar and dry grass on the air. First sight of herb-robert flowers this season I think, like larger shining crane’s-bill, and of much paler pink goblet-like apple blossom.

Body stiff and sore, though gradually and fitfully recovering, sleep still fairly skewed. Scaling down activities to try to make allowance for just how foggy and dazed I was feeling, still satisfying overall – half-speed project progress and desultory household tasks still make for forward progress.

May we find communities of openness and trust today!
