Goodnight friends! Consistent, softly filtered blue-tinted light, my companion shadow with me pale but constant. A quiet daily thrill at all the mercurial patterns of shifting spring weather, each flower taking its risky moment and seize a few days of sunlight. More tentative bluebell stems and heavy teardrop spikes of tulip heads emerge from among the profusions of glossy ribbon leaves, buds of late-blooming ornamental cherries glossy and striped by the pink splits in their brown sheathes like boiled sweets.
Decent sleep again and a relatively few hours of discomfort before managing to get myself mobile. Gradually felt my joints open up as I busied myself – with frequent breaks – on various small tasks, a few stretches, little bits of drawing and writing as well as some catch-up on household tasks. Slow and steady progress, if feels like.
May we recognise and advocate for our own space and needs today!
