Goodnight friends! Brighter today, and warmer too, though a brisk and bitter wind made it feel cooler than the 16°c on the thermometer. Fitful pulsing shadows cast by racing gilt-egded windows of blue sky. There’s a very faint sweetness and melody always on the air. Red-flowering currants and orange teacup quince blossoms and cherry laurel bring brightness to suburban hedgerows, with drifts of grape hyacinth and ocassional wide-mouthed tulips quivering beneath. Round shining backs of ladybirds glitter like red carbuncles decorating the leaves of crane’s-bills and alkanets.
Weariness, muscle pangs and poor sleep all collapsing into each other, not quite a vicious cycle but a fairly annoying and familiar one. Mostly I gave the day to recuperation and doing a bit of mindful nothing. I do have a little more thinking and creative power at least, and was able to get back into a little collaborative writing with my girlfriend again.
May we nurture communities and relationships where we can share our needs and find, and offer, welcome and support today!
