Goodnight friends! Not really cool, but a little damp and heavily overcast in a way that makes it feel much colder than it is. Every blush of orange and gold in the treetops seems to spread each time I look away. Squirrels bolder and more urgent in their scrabbling leaps, little divots dug everywhere in the grass as finding and storing food becomes more pressing.
Still on a lot of bedrest, malaise is a slow, endless crushing force. Pain a dull constant pulse but not quite so insistent, able to walk with a bit more confidence by the afternoon, and the fog smothering my thoughts thins from time to time.
May we grow in humility and curiosity today, releasing ourselves fron the need to be right!
