Goodnight friends! Several slow sweeping passes of murky grey alternating with a burnished, scoured clean pale pearly blue sky edged with lilac fishscale clouds. Yellow beech leaves shrivel on the hedges into tightly clenched coppery cocoons, resplendent flat-capped white mushrooms collapse in the centre like underdone cakes. The air smells like wet stone, hard and brittle, cold enough to sting a little on every inbreath.

Slow recovery day, still hampered by pain and accompanying insomnia, but emotionally feeling a little more even, able to focus enough to occupy myself and take action to take care of myself.

May we find moments of hope and celebration today!
