Goodnight friends! Felt very ropey today, woken up after disturbed and shallow sleep by a pendulum pain, fever heat and stabbing chill, in my joints. Co-ordination, memory, thinking all a dazed, scrambled mess. Thud and rattle of big slow raindrops on the window from a dingy ash grey sky, a steady refrain that lasted til past sunset. Fresh young holly leaves stark against the dark metallic gloss of the mature foliage, each prickly tip with a pendant raindrop. Impatient squirts of song from blue tits sheltering in the canopies of ornamental cherries.
