Goodnight friends! Early grasses starting to crisp and lose their colour, orchard grass and tufted hair grass taking over from meadow foxtail just as the purple of vetch takes the place of dog-violets. Pressure of heat a little less forceful, though still very dry and in the low 20s. White flecks of cuckoospit in the crooks of branching stems, cocksfoot moths with minute chevroned wings gather in the gilded goblets of buttercup flowers to feed.

Fairly standard heavy fatigue and malaise, some specific little strains to biceps and traps and back which will hopefully buff put in a few days. A long slow groggy fade of morning into afternoon, only really getting much thought of movement around 4pm-ish. A very slow, soft evening with my girlfriend, making dinner together as usual, catching up to the leisurely roll of summer.

May we find ways to renew and deepen our connections with those we love today!
