Goodnight friends! A chilly and hazy morning, grey clouds only reluctantly simmering away under steady sunlight. More yellow flecks of celandines, daisies, stray dwarf daffodils cropping up in every scrap of space, while stiff little blue flowers are budding on indefatigable green alkanets. Clarion trills and whistles of thrushes and blackbirds and blue tits across a pale smooth sheen of soft silvery blue sky, clear but not bright. It slowly took on a smoky tangerine blush of sunset, which is now sidling back to almost 6 pm.
Cold overnight, and my sleep a little worse, fatigued and drowsy. Mostly a slow, sedentary recovery day, struggled to get far out of bed until mid-afternoon. A little bit of admin, then a leisurely dinner date with my girlfriend.
May we find a sense of balance and stability in our lives today!
