Goodnight friends! A full simmering daydream day of summer to come, a gentle 18°c with wide, clear skies faintly striped by white ribbons along the horizon. Clarion chorus of warbles and rattles and trills from blackbirds, thrushes, blue tits all staking their claims on bare twigs and treetops. Coral red goblets of quince flowers coming into bloom, fuzzy magnolia buds beginning to peel open, the air sweet and heavy with the muddled perfumes of growth and nectar.

Mostly resting, feels like I escaped any particualr major muscle strains and am just recuperating from the general prostrate heaviness of fatigue. Much more pleasant to recover on a balmy day with tiger-striped light filtering in through the blinds. A little research and thinking when I could manage it, and then a small evening walk and dinner date with my girlfriend.

May we find the fresh excitements and delights hidden within our everyday routines today!
