Goodnight friends! A fitfully grey and clammy morning with a few brief squalls of light and prickly rain between brighter patches. The afternoon though, slowly lengthening now towards 5PM, came very clear, cool and bright and dry with long long indigo shadows and an amber glow suffusing dusky red brick walls. Tightly clasped buds swelling everywhere in the furtive dark beneath hedgerows and in lawns and on patient twigs.

Resetting my sleep schedule far from a completed struggle, set back again by aches and twinging muscles. Post-exercise fatigue a little more gruelling in the cold, but not outside of expectations. So today was all about slowness and recovery, and a peaceful, cozy mid-week dinner date.

May we find tenderness and comfort in our lives today!
