Goodnight friends! Muted pale watercolour grey skies with just a few slowly-sweeping bars of deep ultramarine after light overnight rain. Water pennywort all askew and turned over but streams so far not swollen up much. Reservoir more active, a juvenile grebe, stiff black heads and wild, startled round yellow eyes of tufted ducks.

The day as muted and tepid as the weather, feeling fairly well restored but still with a steady wintery pressure of weariness and generator-thrum of pain, leading me to flag fast and dulling the edges of my thoughts. When things aren’t so bad, lke today, it’s easy enough to let that slide, not compare myself too much and just do what I can in my own little corner.

May we find and share grace and kindness today!
