Goodnight friends! Cold, blistering wind from a sinking icy grey sky, becoming duller and damper over the day. Soft, hollow tok-tok-tok rattle of dark yew branches swaying against each other. Placid gaze of a sooty-orange fox passing through front gardens with a chicken leg in its mouth, so insouciant that my girlfriend’s dog seemed too startled to react before it trotted off into the gloom. After dark the bluster increased and a thin icy drizzle started up, gradually intensifying as evening turned to night.

Mostly a recovery day, struggled to move much until the afternoon, general exhaustion and a chill, sandpapery pain in my joints. Managed to get up in time for an an appointment with a handyman who helped seal up some gaps in the sealant around my windows that have been causing me trouble this winter. Then a a warm, relaxed evening making udon with my girlfriend.

May we find a sense of security and mutual trust in our lives and relationships today!
